Radhika (she/her) is a British Indian writer, digital ads enthusiast, and Type 1 Diabetic, based in London. Diagnosed at age five, she has experienced a range of treatments from insulin injections to tethered pumps and now manages her condition with a hybrid closed-loop system and glucose sensor.
Radhika [aka Rads] is passionate about breaking the stigma around diabetes, especially within South Asian communities, and uses storytelling to raise awareness and build empathy. A confident speaker and natural communicator, she’s driven by optimism, tight glucose control, and the belief that diabetes should never limit choices.
She wears overnight corrective lenses to maintain clear vision and enjoys exploring identity, chronic illness, and everyday resilience through poetry and short fiction. A lifelong Harry Potter fan and avid reader, Radhika is excited to share her journey and help others feel seen through honest and authentic lived experiences.
