After modelling at a young age, Tia lost her hair at the age of 16 and no longer believed there was space in the modelling industry for those with visual differences. Being diagnosed with alopecia meant hiding her condition with wigs and false eyelashes to fit in but she now wants to encourage self love and acceptance by raising awareness of the condition. She believes there is beauty in being different and wants to inspire others to be comfortable in their own skin.
