BIOGRAPHY

Gracie-Mae is a deaf performer who wears bilateral hearing aids and communicates using spoken language and British Sign Language (BSL). Born with Branchio-Oto syndrome, she also has facial paralysis which affects her lips, most noticeable when she smiles, laughs or shouts. She is passionate about promoting kindness, inclusion and awareness of deafness, encouraging children of all abilities to feel confident and believe they can achieve anything.

She has appeared on CBeebies’ Tiny Tunes, featuring in episodes including The Grand Old Duke of York, Jack and Jill, and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. She has also appeared on Milkshake! in the programme Milkshaker: Move It. She has trained at Razzamatazz Theatre Schools since the age of three and a half, performing in productions including The Lion King, Toy Story, Oliver Twist and Aladdin. Alongside her love of dancing and performing, she enjoys reading, drawing, bike riding and outdoor adventures. She was also recently featured as a deaf character in the book Fire Cat Cinders, written by Elaine Hallam and Neil Hallam.
