Mikailah (she/her) lives with Type 1 diabetes and wears an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (CGM). Managing a chronic condition has taught her resilience, adaptability, and confidence while demonstrating that living with a chronic illness does not define or limit what someone can achieve.

Mikailah is a model, pediatric critical care nurse, and Doctor of Nursing Practice student based in New York. She has experience working in studios, on professional commercial and editorial sets, and in published campaigns. Her recent modeling work includes campaigns for Thursday's Shoe Company, serving as the Summer Cover Girl for D'Agenaro Restaurant through MKTCNTRL, and being featured in the July 2026 issue of ROOSA Magazine. She enjoys collaborating with photographers, brands, and creative teams to bring authentic and inclusive stories to life.

Balancing a career in pediatric critical care nursing while pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and expanding opportunities in modeling and disability representation. She has contributed to published nursing research and is passionate about bringing greater visibility to people living with chronic conditions.

Mikailah hopes to increase authentic representation of people with visible medical devices and invisible disabilities in fashion, advertising, and media. She is passionate about showing that medical devices can be embraced rather than hidden and hopes to inspire others living with chronic conditions to pursue opportunities without limitations.
