McKenzie is a chronically ill multi-award-winning author, creative makeup artist, and model who uses a wheelchair.
She became suddenly chronically ill and disabled in 2018 and in the last 6 years, she has used her characters in her published novels, makeup artistry on Instagram, and social media campaigns modelling for clothing brands like Hot Topic to shine a light on disability, chronic illness, mental health, neurodivergence, and service animal representation.
McKenzie is a passionate advocate for inclusivity working with brands like OAS Mobility to break down stereotypes and misconceptions about disabilities and mobility aids. She has experience with speaking on stage on panels about representation at conventions like Indiana Comic Con, and live news interviews when competing in the NYX Face Awards in 2017 and 2019 as a creative makeup artist. She has since collaborated with Mehron Makeup and is featured on some of their products showcasing her work, created for publishers like Harper Collins and had book signings of her own at Barnes and Noble.
McKenzie is also passionate about tattoos, collecting books for her personal library, creating art, and traveling with her service dog, Grimm.
