Makenna has Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type XI (11). She also is a full time wheelchair user. She has been working in the Entertainment Industry in a variety of roles from Producer, to Production coordinator on short films and commercials. In 2025, she notably worked as a Production Coordinator with The Inevitable Foundation for their 2025 Visionary Short Films in Los Angeles. They are striving to amplify disabled writers in the film industry and showcase to the big studios, what accessibility can look like on film productions. More recently she worked on Season 1 of HBO Max’s upcoming “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” in the accounting department as a clerk. She also worked on HBO’s latest pilot “How to Survive Without Me.” Makenna has always had dreams that were larger than life. But what’s most important to her is continuing to create better representation for people with disabilities, whether it’s behind the scenes in production– or in this case, front and center. Disabled people are not going to hide, and she is here to remind you of that. She wants to push the boundaries even for herself, and challenge herself to new opportunities. In her free time, you can find Makenna wheelchair crowd surfing at a rock concert (safely of course), going to the beach with her friends, or trying LA’s newest restaurants.
