Gemma “Hotwheels” Kellogg is an easygoing model and athlete from New Zealand, now based in the greater Los Angeles area.
Just before her fifth birthday Gemma was in a car accident with her family and was left with an incomplete spinal cord injury and now uses a wheelchair to get around. This only added to her determined nature and she has represented New Zealand in both sailing and snow skiing.
She featured in an Inclusive Tourism New Zealand marketing campaign for Making Trax showcasing adventure activities around Queenstown shot over a week, appeared in a national advertising campaign in collaboration with Cadbury and Paralympics NZ and has experience speaking with media.
Gemma is an intrepid traveler and loves sharing her experiences with others, she is always keen to go off the beaten path for an adventure and is often seen where wheelchair users don’t usually roam. She enjoys DIY, currently building an accessible container home with her husband, is a mother of three, and a history and space enthusiast. Her energy, optimism, resilience and adventurous nature inspire others to challenge expectations and redefine what’s possible.
