Nev is a artist and arts educator who uses she/they pronouns. Born and raised in Southern California, primarily in Los Angeles, she moved around frequently during her childhood. After her time in SoCal, Nev lived in New Mexico, Australia, Florida, and Vancouver before returning to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for music. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Trumpet Performance and is now an active teacher and performer in the LA music scene.

She gigs with professional orchestras, chamber music ensembles, and contemporary music organizations like Monday Evening Concerts and WildUp. In addition to performing, Nev is a composer who primarily writes long-form microtonal music for small ensembles or for herself as a solo artist. Aside from music and modeling, Nev has worked as a barista for years and is currently involved with a small queer-woman-owned coffee brand, where she handles sales and conducts barista training and demonstrations. Nev enjoys cooking and considers herself a killer chef. She loves to read, particularly sci-fi and fantasy, and is always down to share a list of great books. She regularly goes to the gym to run, and considers physical activity a incredibly valuable aspect of self-care/mental health. Nev is also sober and attends 12- step meetings, and is immensely grateful for her loving community of queer and trans friends in recovery.
