Swirl is an international model born and raised in Florence, a fashionista, content creator, and activist, based in London. She is known for her bald head and eyebrow-less look, as well as her unique style in both makeup and clothing. In addition to her success on Instagram as @miss_swirl, her photos have appeared in numerous international fashion magazines, including Vogue, Hunger Magazine, and L'Officiel.

In 2001, she was diagnosed with trichotillomania, a disorder that is part of Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), which include habits like nail-biting, cheek-biting, and dermatillomania. Because of this, she chose to shave her head completely and adopt this distinctive look.

Since then, she has become an inspiration for thousands of people struggling with hair-related issues, including those with alopecia or undergoing chemotherapy. She is a positive role model for young women around the world, showing them that beauty and self-confidence are not dependent on hair, eyebrows, or eyelashes, and that dreams are within everyone's reach.

In collaboration with psychotherapist Francesca Zoia, she founded the online community on Instagram called @comunita_crfc, aiming to educate and connect individuals with BFRBs to professionals throughout Italy (her home country). This includes a podcast (Ma che brutto vizio) and a monthly support group.
