Shannon Jade is an author, actress, model, and environmental scientist who lives with a limb difference following a finger amputation in 2023. As a writer, she has had the opportunity to work with incredible organisations, including Rebel Girls, to share messages of hope, empowerment, and positivity.
Shannon’s modelling and influencing work has included features with Australia’s 2024 ‘Seize the Sun’ solar energy campaign, alongside partnerships with Inoya, Evercircle, Offbeat Nails, Bamboo Sleeps, Fashion Revolution, Conservation Volunteers, and more. She has also engaged with acting and audiobook narration opportunities, reflecting her love of storytelling in all forms.
In 2025, Shannon published a debut novel in verse, A Song for the Earth, which earned the bronze book of the year prize at the ABLE Golden Book awards and was nominated for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards and the Kenneth Slessor Poetry Prize. This project also led to a range of media appearances, from local publications to international podcast interviews and university speaking opportunities.
Shannon continues to advocate for a kinder, greener, more inclusive future and looks forward to showcasing diversity within the media industry. In her free time, she enjoys reading, singing, playing piano, and spending time with loved ones.
