Tayla Richardson (she/her) is an artist, poet, advocate, actor and model, based in Melbourne. She is an electric wheelchair user who is sometimes ambulant, living with a rare neuromuscular condition in which her muscles weaken and at times paralyse. She is driven by a desire to connect, challenge perceptions and has a passion for authentic, empowering representation. Her highlights include a campaign with BOD by Finch, being a guest on Dylan Alcott’s ‘ListenABLE’ podcast, a speaker at disability expos and an ambassadorship with Muscular Dystrophy Australia. Tayla’s work has featured in art galleries, International Poetry Film Festivals and online with RUSSH magazine. She loves attending live performances and exploring a city’s hidden gems.
