Melanie Clarry (She/Her) is a profoundly deaf artist, writer, and performer who wears a cochlear implant on her right ear. Growing up in the hearing world, she never let her deafness define her, thriving in team environments and community work. She has starred in three feature films and is writing and illustrating her debut comic book series. Her achievements include placing fourth in Ballroom Dancing, running Half Marathons, and drafting her first Romance Comedy film script. Melanie is determine to showcase authentic disability representation and meeting challenges with humour. She loves comics, running, ballroom dancing, and Pilates.
