BIOGRAPHY
Michelle is an artist, writer and model. As a wheelchair user, she lives with complex chronic illness and disability in Victoria. Highlights include runways for Melbourne Fashion Week and Fashion Festival, and judging for the emerging designer program, Melbourne Fashion Hub. She is also a Write-ability Fellow for Writers Victoria.
Michelle’s work has been in galleries, and through arts residencies. She has run a decade long Disability art fashion project #UpAndDressed, on IG. Her writing can be found in literary journals and online publications and she has appeared at literary festivals. She advocates for increasing the representation of older Disabled models and that of rural experiences.
She is a cook and loves the natural environment.
