Emiris Allardice (they/them) is a queer, disabled performer based in Brisbane/Meanjin. Emiris has been preforming for as long as they can remember; in community theatre and workshops, on stage at QPAC, in student films, and as a part of their study at the Queensland Academies Creative Industries and for their Bachelor of Creative Arts.
Unfortunately, their creative pursuits came to a hold after being diagnosed with life-altering chronic conditions. Now, navigating life with proper support, Emiris is looking to get back into the performing arts.
Emiris is also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Growing up autistic and queer they’ve always been passionate about inclusion and celebrating differences, but since becoming chronically ill, they’ve grown even more involved in disability advocacy. Emiris is experienced working on stage and screen in professional environments, and wants to help make the arts an accessible place for the disabled community.
