Jude Ella is a trans male music artist and filmmaker whose work bridges visual storytelling and sonic emotion.
With over 15 years of experience as a film producer and cinematographer, Jude has worked on a wide range of creative projects. He collaborated with Grammy Award winners RÜFÜS DU SOL on eight music videos, 4 being Vimeo staff picked and with collectively over 100 million views. He was part of a team nominated for Best Music Video at the 2019 ARIA Awards for Baker Boy, and has filmed Kesha for Spotify. In 2022, he was on set for Billie Eilish’s Zane Lowe Apple TV production.
Jude’s film work has been screened at the United Nations, with two of his projects going viral (garnering over 60,000 and 132,000 views respectively) and contributing to political change.
As a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, and music producer under artist name Jude Austin, O, Jude has performed extensively across Brisbane and Sydney, including over 40 open mics and two original shows with his band. His Hayes Street Studio show in April 2025 was a sold-out success.
He holds a Diploma of Music Performance (TAFE QLD, 2022) and has completed studies in Vocal Production at Ableton Liveschool and Film Scoring at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (2025). Jude also trained in Acting at the Australian Actor’s Studio Brisbane, performing short dramatic scripts and plays. Since his gender transition in 2021, Jude has shared his personal journey through his podcast, The Wealth Podcast – Erasing Poverty, where he explores themes of transformation, resilience, and identity. Jude is passionate about fashion and modelling and aspires to study Fashion Design at Mt Gravatt TAFE QLD, with the goal of launching his own clothing line.
