Tom Oliver (he/him)
Tom Oliver is a model and actor living with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, which has led him to use an electric wheelchair since childhood. After six years working at Volkswagen, Tom transitioned into the creative industry, already landing work with the Australian ATO and featuring in the Black Dog Institute’s One Step Forward campaign.
Tom is known for his confidence, charisma, and resilience. From leading his peers in school to inspiring his friends as an adult, he has always challenged perceptions of disability by showing strength, positivity, and authenticity. His story and outlook continue to motivate others to face challenges with gratitude and courage.
With ambitions to further represent disability in media and promote inclusion, Tom aims to use his platform to amplify diverse voices. Beyond his career, he enjoys poetry, creative writing, and film photography.
