Aidin is a Central Asian queer artist and social researcher who talks about his immigration to the USA, and his social and political decolonial perspective on his main page on Instagram. At the same time, he tries to bring back the artistic part of his long-repressed personality. Aidin finished his master's in Vienna and New York City, in international relations and has a background in gender sociology. He wrote his paper on queer nightlife and self-expression at underground balls in Kyrgyzstan, his home country. He also talks about authoritarianism and the anti-gender movement in The World, and at the same time, tries to integrate Kyrgyz/Central Asian culture into his work, whether it be research, social media posts or his outfit styling.
