Hazal lost her sight in 2019 and is registered as blind with a severe visual impairment. As her disability isn’t always visible, many people don’t realise she’s blind unless she’s using her cane which she only relies on when necessary, depending on the environment. Hazal is also the founder of Blind Beauty, a skincare brand creating inclusive, accessible products for blind and visually impaired people that are suitable for everyone. The brand was born from her own experiences navigating an industry that often overlooks the needs of disabled consumers. Through Blind Beauty, Hazal is passionate about raising awareness of blindness, challenging inaccessibility in the beauty world, and celebrating the power of representation.
