BIOGRAPHY
Phyllida became a scars and face‑equality campaigner after a life‑changing car accident. She now leads Face Equality International, a global umbrella organisation of NGOs working together to promote fair and equal treatment for people with facial differences. The network challenges discrimination, harmful media portrayals and prejudice, while pushing for accurate, positive and inclusive representation across culture, fashion, workplaces and everyday life.
She is committed to advancing the movement worldwide, from seeking recognition under the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to growing global participation in International Face Equality Week. Sustainability is another passion of hers; she chooses preloved clothing and advocates for buying less and valuing garments more, recognising the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
