Katie works as a freelance TV creative in London, and has produced and directed several critically acclaimed History series’ for international broadcasters including the BBC, Sky, C4, and Netflix. Katie enjoys unearthing unknown stories and lives from our shared past and is passionate about women’s history. She is currently researching and writing a book about motherhood during the Second World War.

Katie has a vascular (PWS) birthmark on much of her face and body. She believes that as individuals, our power and beauty lies in our perceived flaws. Katie’s wish is that her son and daughter will grow up feeling comfortable in their own skin - and hopes to encourage others to embrace their differences, and be completely - and uniquely themselves.
