Anna Tatton (she/her) is a queer researcher and model, and a Type 1 diabetic. Living with Type 1 diabetes requires constant monitoring and planning, shaping how she navigates daily life and work.
In 2019, Anna moved to Tokyo to undertake a PhD funded by the Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship. Her doctoral research, Queer Belongingness: Exploring the Role of Physical Spaces for Queer Women and Trans People in Japan, examined how queer spaces shape queer women and non-binary people’s sense of self, safety, and belonging. She also worked at the Centre for Gender Studies, organising research events and supporting queer community groups.
Anna has worked as a model for over fifteen years. She has worked with brands including Photocopieu, Tom Tailor, Shiseido, Converse, Uniqlo, and Issey Miyake, as well as appearing in commercials and the television series She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat.
