As a old single mother of three teenagers Husna has been determined to work hard to change stereo types and stigmas.
After becoming a single mother at the age of 24 escaping a challenging relationship with three children under 5 no driving license, home , savings or income , Husna worked her way up to becoming a successful Broadcast Journalist in TV and has worked on major shows for the BBC, ITV as well as productions for Google. She is also a Voice Over Artist and has recorded multiple campaigns and advertisements. She was a Radio Presenter in the Midlands presenting the news, having her own interview show , as well as a children’s show which was a huge success with young and older listeners.
As a south Asian Muslim woman in a head scarf she doesn’t let anything hold her back and wants to represent a community which she feels is often misrepresented or not represented much at all.
Husna is keen on learning and developing skills and started her CBT for her motor cycle licence last year, as well as learning to ski in the French Alps and learning to play the piano. She loves to sketch, trekking, rock climbing and driving. She recently enrolled to start Brazilian jujitsu in the summer and working on her piano lessons.
