Jasper Grinling has Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) - a rare neurological condition that affects his balance and co-ordination. Having left school a couple of years ago with University offers to study business, Jasper has been transitioning to using a wheelchair and discovering his independence. He has recently completed a film and photography project supported by Arts Council England called ‘Portobello Stories’, culminating in an exhibition at the African Caribbean Cultural Centre in London. He is passionate about travel, as well as raising awareness for his condition, working closely with his family and the charity Ataxia UK. The highlight of his campaigning recently, was being interviewed by Fi Glover and Jane Garvey on Times Radio with Ataxia UK’s Ambassador, Dom Joly!
