Paul joined the British Army in 1995, aged 17. Prior to service he had excelled in sport and continued this on by representing the army. Paul served all over the world, with tours in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He was a keen DJ which led to him organising his own charity events, bringing in some of the world's most established artists.
In 2011, he was injured on operations which resulted in losing his left arm in a bomb blast and suffering severe flesh wounds to his leg and internal organ damage.
Since leaving service, Paul has continued to compete in sport, particularly golf, where he sank the winning putt at the inaugural Simpson Cup.
He continues to raise for supporting charities, one challenge seen him reach Base Camp Everest.
