Alexa Venning (she/her) is a new young model with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) type 2. SMA is a condition affecting the nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement, causing the muscles to become weaker. Alexa has never been able to walk without aids, so she uses a wheelchair. She was born in Hong Kong and now goes to mainstream secondary school in Battersea, South West London, which she really enjoys and has a lot of great friends. As the only child with additional needs, she is helping the school to adapt.
She has no experience in modelling but she would like to show the world that people like her can still do normal things. She enjoys arts and crafts and is very interested in fashion.
