Coda is a professional creative and inclusion consultant of Bulgarian, British, and trans experience. She’s the co-founder of Trans Voices - the UK’s first professional trans+ vocal collective.
In early 2022, Coda launched Trans Voices with a Guardian documentary capturing the founding of the collective. Under Coda's leadership, Trans Voices has carried out Kew Gardens, Tate Britain, and Roundhouse residencies, a collaboration with Years & Years on the #borntomix Absolut advertising campaign, a mainstage appearance at Mighty Hoopla, workshop-leading at the Royal Opera House, and a commission to create a bespoke soundtrack for the BBC 6 Music’s Loud and Proud campaign. As a representative for the collective, Coda has contributed vocals to the ABBA Voyage show, joined Emeli Sande for an O2 Arena performance, and taken part in Sam Lee's recent tour across Germany.
Coda is a recipient of the prestigious Arts Council DYCP grant for ‘Transmute’, a project relating to the recovery of her voice and the further development of her electronic compositional and performance practice following a gender confirmation intervention, which also inspired a collaboration with the University of Sheffield's music and computer science departments on timbre transfer and vocal banking technology. Coda is gearing up for the release of her debut EP mixed and mastered by Cherif Hashizume, collaborator of Bjork and Jon Hopkins, developed with the support of Help Musicians' Record & Release grant.
In parallel to her creative endeavours, Coda dedicates her professional life to empowering individuals from historically marginalised communities within the fashion, media, technology, and finance sectors. Coda has carried out inclusion initiatives for renowned organisations including YOOX Net-A-Porter, Ralph Lauren, Standard Chartered, Warner Bros, and others. Coda’s specific areas of interest include leadership engagement, intersectionality, and cutting through the noise in a landscape impacted by culture wars and increasing polarisation.
