Redouan “Redo” is living proof that no obstacle is too big to overcome. Born with several physical differences—including a shorter right arm, a missing right hip, a shorter right leg, and the need for a prosthetic—he refused to let society define his limits. Instead, he turned adversity into strength, carving his own path with passion and resilience.
At age 14, Redo discovered breakdance, a world where creativity and self-expression reign supreme. What began as a personal challenge soon became a lifelong mission. Through sheer determination, he transformed his differences into a unique dance style, evolving into a world-class performer, speaker, and role model.
In 2010, Redo joined ILL-Abilities. As a core member, he has performed on major stages worldwide, inspiring audiences with his artistry and mindset. In 2019, Redo made history as the first hip-hop dancer to win the most prestigious dance theatre award in The Netherlands. A year later, he was named the most inspiring talent in Dutch society, topping De Community Top 100. His impact reached an even larger audience in 2021 when he opened the Eurovision Song Contest with a dance solo, captivating millions.
Beyond the stage, Redo’s influence extends into education, motivation, and empowerment.
His contributions to dance and society have been recognized at the highest level as he was honoured by the Royal Dutch family as the youngest Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
Alongside his dance performances, choreographies and television presenting, he shares his story through motivational lectures and workshops across the globe, inspiring individuals to redefine their own limitations, break barriers, and proving that true power lies in embracing your difference
