Hannah is a 10-year-old, half European - half Carribean girl. She grows in a quadrolingual family where English, Russian, German and Spanish are spoken. Hannah has Down Syndrome, however that doesn’t stop her. She attends regular school and is very passionate about her extracurricular activities and hobbies such as dancing, singing, performing and posing. She is also active in sports by being part of the school’s running club. Additionally, she’s always part of the school’s musicals and often participates in talent shows. Visually Hannah’s difference isn’t always visible. When it’s too cold, her under-eye bags end to appear darker. Her eyes are also slightly further apart than in children with no Down Syndrome, however that’s completely common for kids with Down syndrome. Her speech is sometimes unclear but she tries hard to be understood and is working on her pronunciation. Hannah is very gentle, kind, caring and loves to be the centre of attention and to just have a fun time.
